Patrol

The Patrol Division of the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office is commanded by Lt. Tom Warren.

The Deputies of the Patrol Division are the front-line faces of the Sheriff’s Office and are usually the first members on the scene of a crime.  They provide law enforcement services to the unincorporated areas of Suwannee County and the Town of Branford.  They are responsible for handling a wide variety of calls from domestic disturbance and burglaries to assisting disabled motorists.

The Patrol Division consist of four squads who work rotating twelve hours shifts.

Criminal Investigations

The Criminal Investigations Division is commanded by Lt. Jeff Cameron.

The Criminal Investigations Division consists of Person and Property Crime Investigators and the Suwannee County Drug Task Force.

The Person and Property Investigators continue the investigations that were initiated by the Patrol Division Deputies regarding thefts, burglaries, robberies, sexual batteries, crimes against children and other felonies.  

The Suwannee County Drug Task Force consist of members of the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office and a member of the Live Oak Police Department.  These Deputies are responsible for identifying and arresting people who are involved in the manufacture, sale and delivery of illegal drugs within Suwannee County.  The Suwannee County Drug Task Force works cooperatively with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Drug Enforcement Administration and the Drug Task Forces in the surrounding counties.
